Looking to build a house or renovate a property from reclaimed bricks then we have the materials you need.
If you are looking for old bricks either to match your existing bricks then you have come to the right place we always have stocks of reclaimed bricks in these sizes 2" 2.5" and 3" - call Michael now and we can deliver. The bricks we stock are normally clamp or wire cut.
Clamp Bricks
Bricks were fired in clamps, which were large pyramids of bricks covered in boards and galvanised iron which were set fire to. The clamps would burn for 2 or 3 weeks with little attention.
Wire Cut Bricks
Clay is cut off in brick size from a continuous column by wires. Wire-cut required drying before firing and were placed on steel cars and taken to tunnel dryers from which they are sent to down-draft kilns. The bricks were in the kilns for seven to ten days followed by a cooling period.
